SushiRitas: From Pop-Up to Top Spot

Social Sushi: The 6-Year Lab

Before we built the foundation for our current ventures, we spent six years in the field. From 2012 to 2018, Social Sushi served as our live market-research laboratory.  


Through 100+ community events, interactive rolling classes, and social catering activations, we didn't just serve food—we gathered data. We tested flavor profiles, refined the "sushi with a vibe" atmosphere, and validated the #BetterTogether philosophy with thousands of Detroiters.  


Social Sushi was the proof of concept that proved one thing: the market was hungry for an experience that paired Japanese-inspired craft with Detroit soul. 


Today, every system we build is rooted in the real-world insights gained during those six years on the ground. #BetterTogther
